THE CONTEXT
Jency Beauty, located in Banjarmasin, is a cosmetic retail store that serves as a playground for makeup lovers, from beginners buying their first lipstick to pros hunting for niche products.
THE CHALLENGE
In physical retail, the brand needs to work harder than just a logo on a screen. It has to live on bags, signage, uniforms, and shelf talkers. The challenge was to create a visual language that felt "digital-native" and modern, while seamlessly integrating with the physical interior design (crafted by our partners at Verhaal Design Studio).
PHASE 1: THE VISUAL SYSTEM
The "Dot System": A Digital-First Identity
To capture Jency's forward-thinking vision, we developed a "digital-esque" logo constructed from a custom Dot System. This pixel-inspired foundation represents the building blocks of beauty—innovation, precision, and modernity.
Jency Beauty has established itself as a modern staple in the Banjarmasin beauty scene. The distinct "pixel" aesthetic makes the brand instantly recognisable, creating a store experience that is as Instagrammable as the products on the shelves.
